Bhushan Joshi

Bhushan Joshi is an electronics engineer and scientific officer B with over a decade of experience in developing advanced instrumentation and embedded systems for astronomy.

His work focuses on the design and implementation of detector systems, FPGA-based readout electronics, embedded architectures, and real-time data acquisition systems for high-performance imaging applications. He specializes in translating scientific requirements into fully functional hardware and embedded systems, from concept and design to integration, testing, and deployment.

He is currently pursuing a PhD at Stellenbosch University, working on high-cadence sCMOS imaging systems for time-domain astronomy, with an emphasis on real-time data acquisition, embedded processing, and AI-assisted imaging.

His experience includes contributions to observatory-class instruments and space missions, where he has been directly involved in detector integration, electronics design, embedded system development, system testing, and on-site deployment.
