Exploration of Mars, Venus and small bodies of the Solar System
My work is based on the exploration of Mars by the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) and Perseverance rover missions with the ChemCam and SuperCam instruments and the exploration of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko with Rosetta/Philae.
Chemical and mineralogical measurements by MSL have determined the presence of habitable environments at Gale crater on Mars. My work is more specifically dedicated to the analysis of soils and eolian dust composition and ChemCam data analysis using multivariate methods.
The CONSERT radar instrument on-board Rosetta was used to study the interior structure of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. My work is dedicated to the analysis of physical properties of cometary dust particles by light scattering as well as those being collected by Rosetta instruments (COSIMA, MIDAS).
I also study the properties of asteroid surfaces and protoplanetary disks measured from space missions and with telescopes from the ground.
I am the coPI of the VenSpec-U instrument for the ESA Envision space mission to study Venus.
