Outreach:

It's fun to talk about astronomy to non-astronomers. I participated in the Astronomy Olympiads, right from the first Indian National team in 1998. I now teach at the astronomy olympiad camps. I also participate in IUCAA's fantastic science popularizaion and public outreach programmes. During my graduate studies at Caltech, I coordinated the outreach efforts of the Caltech astronomy department. My favourite part was going to local schools, and talking to primary school children about astronomy, or science in general. You can find out more about the outreach program from their department website. For casual stargazing, we used telescopes and binoculars at the Cahill Rooftop Observatory.

Once upon a time, I used to upload pictures regularly. You can find some of them at Picasa Web.
