My Family

My father (Professor V. N. Philip PhD) retired from Marthoma college, Thiruvalla, where he has been teaching for about 40 years, at the age of sixty. He completed his mission in this world in May 2006. My mother (Mrs. Grace Philip) was a teacher in a school and was a good writer in our regional language, Malayalam. She had published many books and had served as the editor of different regional publications. She completed her mission in this world on 4th February 2002. Before saying goodbye to the world, her only desire was to see her youngest son married. Nature fulfilled her desire on 29th December 2001.

We are three children. I am the eldest. My sister, after doing her MSc in Physics is teaching in a college at Alwaye, a place in Kerala. Her name is Reena. My youngest brother , Mani, is working in Madras in a charitable institution.

I am married and have two children. My wife is Sofy. She completed her MSc in Physics and is my best friend and sure help in all research activity. She spend most of her time taking care of our children and family matters that I get lot of time to go about and do my work. Presently, she is teaching in a government school. My elder daughter is GISA and she is doing her BSc in Physics. The younger one is JOE and is in the 12th standard.
We live in a house, built about a couple of years ago, about 5 Kms from St.Thomas College, where I work , giving 7 lectures per week for about 150 undergraduate students and 24 postgraduate students. I teach them Electronics and Computer Science since 1986.
