IUCAA is organizing a national conference on “Recent trends in the study of
compact objects: Theory and Observation (RETCO)” during 17-20, April 2019. This will be the fourth such conference being organized biannually since 2013. The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers from all over India to
discuss recent observational and theoretical progress made in understanding the physics of accreting compact objects with special emphasis on the results from the AstroSat mission. The meeting will give ample opportunity to young researchers to present their work.
The scientific program will consist of invited talks, oral and poster presentations. Local hospitality will be provided to all registered participants. Limited travel support will be available for deserving participants from Universities who do not have financial resources.
